Vektor Update
With the Vector PC software, you can easily update your VCU and display. The PC software automatically downloads the latest data for the VCU and the display.
Notes about Update 3.0:
The update to version 3.0 can only be carried out using an 8 GB SD card. Early versions of the display were delivered with 4 GB SD cards. You can use standard SD cards with up to 32 GB in the VCU. A failed update does not cause any damage; you simply need to use a different card. The working SD card used for the update must remain in the VCU.
This update is exclusively for Golf 7 displays!
Quick Guide:
After double-clicking the `.EXE` file, the update program will open. Take the 8 GB SD card or a branded SD card with 8-32 GB capacity and insert it into your PC. Use the included SD card adapter if necessary.
In the vector software, select the correct drive that belongs to your SD card. For the MQB platform (VW Golf etc) you can now also select the color of the theme. Then click on “Flash”. Now insert the microSD card back into the VCU.
Switch on the ignition of your vehicle. The display starts as usual and switches to update mode after a few seconds. First, the screen is updated, which can be recognized by a white background.
Once the update is 100% complete, the screen should restart. If this does not happen, you can switch the ignition on and off once.
After this part of the update has been successfully completed, the VCU is updated and the progress is displayed graphically. After the successful update, the display starts as usual.
The update process must not be interrupted. The entire process can take up to approx. 20 minutes. The update process is only complete when the “POWER” LED lights up continuously.
